I have observed that in cameras, exceptional receptors help to {focus|concentrate|maintain focus|target|a**** automatically. These sensors involving some surveillance cameras change in in the area of contrast, while others work with a beam with infra-red (IR) light, particularly in low light. Higher standards cameras occasionally use a mix of both methods and likely have Face Priority AF where the photographic camera can 'See' the face while focusing only in that.
